Dunmore Lang College Staff

DR ALASDAIR MURRIE-WEST
PRINCIPAL

PhD, BD (Hons), BA, BCA

Dr Murrie-West joined Dunmore Lang College in 2013 bringing almost fourteen years’ experience in leading university colleges and residences in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.

Dr Murrie-West has undergraduate degrees in Arts and Commerce, a graduate degree in Theology where he was awarded the Begg PhD Travelling Scholarship and a PhD from The University of Melbourne in the area of Bioethics. In addition to working in Residential Colleges, Dr Murrie-West has also worked in business, tertiary education and the not-for-profit sector.

LIZA ALLEN
DEAN OF STUDENTS

Liza moved from her role as Vice-Principal at Emmanuel College at the University of Queensland (UQ) to Dunmore Lang College with her husband Tony in November 2014.

Liza has significant experience in Residential Colleges having worked as Dean of Students at The Women’s College (UQ) for four years prior to being the Vice Principal at Emmanuel College (UQ) for three years.

Liza has completed a BA Honours (Chinese) at the University of Queensland after which she took up an academic appointment at UQ teaching Chinese language for nine years. She then spent a decade managing a small business before returning to UQ to complete a Post Graduate Diploma of Education and pursue a teaching career across the prep to year 12 spectrum. During this time she completed a Master of Educational Management through the University of Southern Queensland.

Apart from being bilingual (Chinese) she is also an enthusiastic potter and weaver.

JULIE HARVEY
BUSINESS MANAGER

Julie joined the college in October 2016 as Business Manager. She brings with her many years of commercial accounting experience.

In her spare time she loves exploring the great outdoors, trekking through many parts of Australia and overseas.

CAROLYN MCKENZIE
EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

Carolyn McKenzie joined the College in May 2016, as our receptionist and she is now the Executive Assistant to the Principal.

GRACE LI
ACCOUNTANT

Grace has worked in the accounting industry for over 7 years and juggles numbers everyday as the Accountant.

Outside business hours Grace is super-Mum to 3 year old Harper and together they enjoy dancing, reading and shopping.

NICOLE O’KEEFFE
REGISTRAR

Nicole is the Registrar and takes care of student admissions and enrolments and also travels around NSW promoting the college at Career Markets.

In her spare time Nicole enjoys cooking and playing netball.

GEROME TE PEETI
COMMUNITY MANAGER

Gerome has significant experience in tertiary education having worked for a number of years at the University of New South Wales. Most recently he worked at Shalom College as an academic mentor and oversaw the Indigenous students support and tutorial programme. He has also worked at Nura Gili (UNSW) as a student assistant, casual lecturer and programme supervisor.

Gerome and his partner have a six year old daughter. In his spare time, Gerome coaches and mentors a Kapa Haka team – currently the Australian champions.

JAMIE TWYMAN
MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR

Jamie has been in the Building and Construction industry for a number of years and is responsible for maintaining the college buildings and grounds.

Jamie enjoys spending time with his family and having a laugh.

DONNA MILLICH-MUSSON
RECEPTIONIST

Donna has recently joined the team and is the first point of call for all student enquiries and welcomes all guests to the College with a bubbly personality.

 

JOICE KURTZ
CONFERENCE & EVENTS COORDINATOR

Joice is Brazilian with an international soul. With over 15 years of experience in the MICE industry, working in Europe and South America, Joice has joined our team to be our new Conference and Events Coordinator.
