DLC's Postgrads Hit the News!!
The SMH Postgraduate Supplement (5-6 September 2009) carried an article outlining the virtues of college life for postgrads. Click here to link to what was said. For 2009, DLC expanded its graduate program by designating its Dunmore Lang College apartments at 159 Herring Road as a precinct for self-catered postgraduate students. Six one-bedroom and eight two-bedroom apartments provide 22 self-catered places for postgraduate students of Macquarie University. With over twenty postgrads living in fully-catered accommodation, there are nearly fifty postgrad residents now in the College.
The expansion has enabled the College to continue a multi-disciplinary admissions policy whilst also building areas of academic excellence to enhance the University’s programs. Postgraduate students are eligible for a number of College scholarships, leadership and academic tutoring opportunities.
All postgraduate residents are encouraged to participate in academic, social and recreational activities at the College. Like DLC undergraduates, their fees include unlimited internet and membership of the Macquarie University gym and aquatic centre.
