The verdict is out - colleges do better!!
Recent Australian research published in June shows that students in residential colleges perform better than their non-residential counterparts on all six 'engagement' categories. Based on 2008 surveys involving 29 Australian universities, the study by the Australian Council for Educational Research confirms what many have known all along - that collegiate life adds value in many areas - academic, wider learning, social, networking and so on.
