Life at DLC
Student Life
The College lifestyle is distinct and based on a strong student community. Students are encouraged to get the most out of their time at University by offering a combination of intellectual independence and social development through involvement in the Students' Club, academic support through tutors and participation in sporting activities. Lifelong friends are made easily at college and residents have the opportunity to mix with a whole range of nationalities, as well as postgraduate and undergraduate students.
There is great scope for residents to take on leadership roles in College by becoming members of sporting, social and other committees that add to the community spirit of the College. The College staff are committed to the care and development of student residents. This care includes all aspects of working towards a physically, emotionally and psychologically safe environment. In doing this DLC enjoys a supportive relationship with the student welfare resources at both Macquarie University and the SIBT.
