Competitive and Social Sports
College Sports
Students in DLC regularly participate in many different sports on a social level, ranging from snooker, table tennis, cricket, soccer and hockey. On occasion, the sports representitive will organise a friendly tornament between college residents.
Inter-College Competitions
A friendly sporting rivalry exists between Dunmore Lang College (DLC), our neighbour Robert Menzies College (RMC), and the Macquarie University Village (MUV). A variety of sports including soccer, softball, touch football, rugby, cricket, hockey, netball and basketball are all contested throughout the academic year. In some cases, representitives from Dunmore Lang travel across Australia to compete in the National College or University Games. - DLC has won the Intercollge Sporting Competition for the past six years.
University Clubs & Facilities
Macquarie University has over 40 sporting clubs, which you have access to through membership in the Macquarie University Sports Association. Living on the doorstep of the University provides immediate access to all of the University sporting facilities, including the Gymnasium, squash courts, real tennis, badminton, sports fields and more. Two swimming pools are currently under construction and are due to be opened for semester 1, 2007.
