Student Association
The ADS of Dunmore Lang College is the student body union that runs within the college. It is structured with an executive (President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary) and many subcommittees and special area representatives. These include sports reps, social reps, video reps, food reps, supper reps and international rep, whilst the some of the committees are Ball committee, Magazine committee, Drama committee, Environment committee and the Shop committee.
All of these committees and reps play a function within the college representing the student body.
At the beginning of the year each student pays a small student fee, this goes towards the ADS. Throughout the year this money comes back out in the form of subsidies for many social events (including the Ball and Annual dinner), sporting equipment and ground hire for intercollegiate games, maintenance and purchase of college items (i.e. pool table and table tennis table). The ADS's main function would certainly be to represent the student to the college, thus expressing what the student wants, but it also functions to offer a social and sporting aspect to college.
