Liza Allen
BA (Hons), PGDipEd, M Ed(Ed Mgmt), MACE, AIMM

Liza commenced at the College in 2014 having previously worked in similar roles at two Colleges at the University of Queensland.

Liza completed a BA Honours (Chinese) at the University of Queensland after which she took up an academic appointment at UQ teaching Chinese language for nine years. She then spent a decade managing a small business before returning to UQ to complete a Post Graduate Diploma of Education and pursue a teaching career across the prep to year 12 spectrum. During this time she completed a Master of Educational Management through the University of Southern Queensland.

Having lived and worked in Residential Colleges for over 13 years, Liza has a deep understanding of what makes an environment safe, supportive and inclusive for University students and extensive experience in creating services and programmes to support students to navigate their transition to University and beyond. Apart from being bilingual (Chinese) she is also an enthusiastic potter and weaver.
