Inclusive Indigenous Culture Programme
Regular activities including the welcome smoking ceremony, film nights, weaving and tool making workshops offer interactive opportunities to experience and learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island cultures. All students are welcome to participate. (L)

Sport
Social and intercollegiate sports provide you with an opportunity to be involved in a wide range of team sports. If you have played representative sport before there are opportunities available through Macquarie University (L Sport) intercollege sport https://www.mq.edu.au/about/campus-services-and-facilities/sport-and-recreation/university-sport/intercollege , and local sports clubs. Formal Dinner events
Starting with the First Year Welcome Dinner there are a number of formal dinners throughout the year including Commencement, Wellness, Q & A (LGBTIQA+), Indigenous Culture and Valedictory. (L photos)

Student Club (ADS) events
Starting in Orientation Week the student club (ADS) organises regular events including White Party, DLC Olympics, DunmoreFest, Herring Hoedown, the Annual Ball, College Musical and many more.

Prefer not to drink? No problem!
Every week during semester, we offer no alcohol activities providing you with an opportunity to play mini-golf, visiting an art gallery or the Planetarium, go on a Sydney ghost tours, watching a movie atop Luna Park, bowling and café crawls providing something for everyone.

Fundraising events

The student club organises a number of fundraising events including World’s Greatest Shave, Op Shop Ball, Operation Christmas Child as well as supporting individual students’ efforts.

Upcycled Mugs

‘Up-cycled Mugs’ sourced from local charity shops are a staple in the dining hall. This intiative has cut down the purchase of new mugs at regular intervals throughout the year.
Doyle Bros Waste Management

Doyle Bros makes recycling more efficient and accessible by collecting all waste in the one bin. Waste is sorted and after recyclable items have been removed what remains is turned into Processed Engineered Fuel, a fuel substitute for coal and gas. This process reduces landfill to an incredibly small amount of 3% of original volume going to landfill.
Blackroo Vending Machines

Blackroo Corporation, a social enterprise, provide the College with snacks and refreshments year round with beautiful vending machines. This revenue stream allows them to engage in meaningful ways to Close the Gap for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
