Enriching students’ lives; creating futures

Our mission is to create opportunities to access University study in a residential academic community based on respect, personal responsibility and service.

Personal integrity and community responsibilities

Dunmore Lang College is a residential community based on personal responsibility, integrity and respect. Individual autonomy is supported alongside remaining cognisant of others’ needs in order to live respectfully and harmoniously with each other to live as a community.

Further, we acknowledge our responsibility to act as positive contributors of our wider community through a commitment to community service and volunteering.

All members of the College community are expected to take responsibility for their actions and any subsequent consequences.

Welcoming and respecting diversity

We welcome and respect all individuals for what they bring, valuing diversity of backgrounds, faiths, cultures, sexuality and gender expression. Our community is based on inclusivity and mutual respect and seeking to understand others, grounded in the belief that diversity enriches everyone’s experience and world view.

We seek to model, encourage and support students to achieve their best across personal, college and university endeavours.

Affirming student leadership

Students are encouraged and actively supported to seek leadership across the College and in their wider communities.
